In order to save their failing restaurant, two brothers must put aside their differences and pull off a perfect restaurant service when a famous musician comes to visit. The film is known for its tantalizing images of authentic Italian food, and has been credited with sparking the conversation surrounding authenticity and creativity in the kitchen. Prior to people pausing to photograph their food and post it to social media before ordering dessert, Big Night forecasts our society’s current fascination with food culture.
