Bradley Cooper helms a new comedy-drama loosely inspired by the real-life story of a man who found a new lease on life as a stand-up comedian.
Will Arnett (who also co-wrote the screenplay) stars as Alex Novak whose marriage has just ended (mostly amicably). Novak now has to navigate late-middle age on his own and figure out a new identity for himself, an unenviable situation for anyone in the waning years of their life. As he embraces a new-found hobby — stand-up comedy — he discovers that the best way to approach the scary unknowns and tough spots of Life is to laugh.
