Former-clown and psychopath Arthur Fleck is back! Two years after the events of Joker, Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) is now an inmate at Arkham State Hospital where he meets fellow prisoner Harleen “Lee” Quinzel (Lady Gaga) in a music therapy class. Lee encourages Arthur, who has tamed his ego a bit during his stint in Arkham, to once again embrace the more flamboyant aspects of his personality. The pair ends up kindling a romance around their mutual love for song (and dance) , and as this wicked affair builds up steam, a waltz of havoc begins as Arthur’s followers try to hatch a plot to set him free.
Todd Phillips directs this sequel to mega-successful film about the greatest villain in DC Comics history. In addition to Phoenix and Gaga, the supporting cast includes Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Zazie Beetz.
