Maisy Stella debuts in a new comedy-drama from filmmaker and actress Megan Park.
Elliott (Stella) is a young girl just on the verge of 18 who has grown up on her family’s multi-generational cranberry farm in rural Ontario. While she relishes the peace and freedom of country life (and the longtime crush she’s had on a beautiful local barista), she’s looking forward to relocating to the big city of Toronto for college and to see what urban life is all about. During a mushroom trip in the woods with friends, Elliott has a strange encounter: She meets an older version of herself (played by Aubrey Plaza) who not only gives young Elliott lots of useful life advice, but also puts her contact info in young Elliott’s cell phone. Young Elliott has to decide whether she’ll adhere to old Elliott’s warnings. However, as we all know, we don’t always listen to wisdom when we’re young.
