Popcorn Sidewalk Sale!
If you’re craving movie theater popcorn as much as we are this spring, we have some very exciting and appetizing news to share!
On Wednesday, June 3rd, the Athena will celebrate its 105th anniversary with a special popcorn sidewalk sale! From noon to 1PM and again from 5PM to 7PM, stop by Court Street and purchase some delicious, local Shagbark Seed & Mill popcorn and other concessions to go. On top of satisfying taste buds, proceeds will help support the theater during our current closure.
How To Order
In the days prior to the sale, customers will have the ability to order a popcorn package of their choice online and specify when they would like to pick up their concessions: either between noon and 1PM, or between 5PM and 7PM on Wednesday, June 3rd.
While visitors are welcome to walk up and purchase popcorn on-site during pickup hours, ordering online ahead of time will help limit contact and prepare our staff. We ask that when you arrive, you respect social distancing etiquette, and we also strongly encourage mask-wearing as a courtesy to our staff and to others uptown.

The director has made a documentary that's both a mea culpa for his role in a botched enterprise that left no one looking good and an affecting attempt to define a life's turning point.

Lovely and wistful. 'The Booksellers' is a documentary for anyone who can still look at a book and see a dream, a magic teleportation device, an object that contains the world.
