Watch Trailer Director: Scott McGhee, David Siegel
Cast: Naomi Watts, Bill Murray, Constance Wu, Ann Dowd

Naomi Watts stars as Iris, a teacher and writer living alone-yet-content in New York. When Walter, her dear friend and mentor (played by Bill Murray) dies unexpectedly, she suddenly finds herself the new guardian of Apollo, Walter’s massive Great Dane. As she struggles with her grief at losing an important person in her life, the dog, at first, is a lot to handle beyond its size – the beast is temperamental, unwieldy, and impractical; not to mention the fact that he’s a constant reminder of the hole Walter has left in her life. This is amusing stuff, well served by Coogan’s knack for haughty composure in the face of the absurd.

THE SHROUDS – Last Day: Thursday, May 8th

Watch Trailer Director: David Cronenberg
Cast: Vincent Cassel, Diane Kruger, Guy Pierce

After the death of his wife, visionary entrepreneur Karsh, as a way to soothe his deep grief, creates an innovative (and controversial) technology that provides him with a means to monitor and stay connected with his wife’s corpse which has now been interred in her grave – a shroud comprised of hi-tech components that allows the living to watch the body of the deceased as it decomposes. When the cemetery where her body lies is vandalized, Karsh vows to find the culprits and make them atone for their transgression.

From critically-acclaimed Canadian filmmaker David Cronenberg, considered a master of the “body horror” genre due to the success of films like Scanners, Videodrome, and The Fly, The Shrouds is an eerie and thought-provoking examination of the obsession with life, death, and grief.

PAVEMENTS – Opens Friday, June 6th!

Todays Show Times: 3:105:457:30

Watch Trailer Director: Alex Ross Perry
Cast: Stephen Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich, Scott Kannberg, Mark Ibold, Steve West, Joe Keery, Jason Schwartzman, Tim Heidecker, Michael Esper

Blending spoof-y satire and earnest documentary filmmaking, Alex Ross Perry takes us into the world of one of the most revered indie rock bands of all time…Pavement! By combining threads from Slanted! Enchanted! A Pavement Musical — a “jukebox musical” featuring songs from the band’s discography that tells the story of a young musician who travels to New York and falls in-and-out of love — with documentary footage of band members Stephen Malkmus, Bob Nastanovich, Scott Kannberg, Steve West, and Mark Ibold, Pavements is a music biopic unlike anything you’ve ever seen…the perfect tribute to a band whose music broke new ground when they hit the scene in the 90’s and reshaped alternative rock as we know it.

In addition to the band members, this unique and experimental film also stars, among others, Jason Schwartzman, Tim Heidecker, Joe Keery (Stranger Things), Michael Esper, and Sonic Youth’s Kim Gordon.

Though Pavement is the star and the performers in its orbit are all in supporting roles, “Pavements” is distinguished by cinematic artistry that’s as distinctive as it is personal. “Range Life” may be a Pavement story, but “Pavements” is a Perry film.
