Set twenty years ago, the film details the efforts of Dateline NBC journalist Chris Hansen as he leans hard into creating the compelling (and highly controversial) reality TV series To Catch A Predator — a show designed to catch adult men who sexually prey on minors. To get the series off the ground, Hansen has to walk a very fine line between success and journalistic ethics.
