Based on the best-selling novel by Andy Weir (The Martian) comes a new epic sci-fi tale of cosmic survival. Ryan Gosling stars as astronaut Ryland Grace who awakens in deep space to find himself alone on a spacecraft, apparently suffering from amnesia with no memory of himself or why he is on an interstellar mission. Eventually, he comes to the realization that he is now the only surviving member of a crew tasked with travelling to the Tau Ceti system — a constellation 12 light years away — to investigate why the main star in that constellation is immune from an alien, sun-eating virus that threatens our own solar system…and the Earth. That’s a huge job for an entire crew, let alone just one man; so, Grace must call upon his knowledge, ingenuity, and will, to not only survive but also complete the mission he was sent to do. Along the way, however, he discovers that he actually isn’t alone — he has a fellow-traveler from a distant world who has come to Tau Ceti for the selfsame reasons.
