Dweller In Darkness is the chronicle of Cassius Marius, a young man whose dream is to be chosen as one of the Church of the Pale King’s righteous Lightbringers and hunt the evil Dweller in Darkness in its chthonic lair. When his dream turns into a nightmare and with both his world and body falling apart, Cassius finds his quest for the truth puts him on a collision course not with the Dweller but the Pale King who sent him. The sequel to Flynn’s debut The Mystery of the Pale King (named one of the best reads of 2024 by Grimdark Magazine) and conclusion of the Deadlights Duology, Dweller In Darkness traverses a doomed empire polluted by corruption to ask “If the world was ending, what would you save? And what would you leave behind?”
About Sam Flynn
Sam Flynn is the author of the Deadlights Duology consisting of the dark fantasy-horror novellas The Mystery Of The Pale King and Dweller In Darkness published by Timber Ghost Press. Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, Flynn earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Ohio University and never left his adopted Appalachian home of Athens where he lives with his wife Angela and their plethora of pets. Previously he worked as a reporter in local news and an editor in entertainment blogging. When not writing or reading, you can usually find him watching old movies or going on long runs.

Darin Miller was born in Portsmouth but currently resides in Grove City, both of which are located in Ohio. While he has worked in Information Technology for three decades, he has NOT solved a single, solitary crime to date. He is the BookFest award-winning author of the Ohio-based Dwayne Morrow Mystery series, as well as an unrelated short story collection, Broken Bits and Bobs, and a standalone psychological horror thriller, Equilibrium.
