A genre-bending, experimental “road movie” that toes the line of post-apocalyptic drama, this critically-acclaimed film tells the story of a father who travels through the deserts of Morocco on a search to find his lost daughter. Accompanied by his son, Luis tracks his missing child to a group of nomadic desert ravers, but discovers that she is not with them. The duo decides to follow the rebellious group deeper into the desert to another rave; however, soldiers arrive to forcefully disband the group as there is a massive international military conflict on the horizon. As Luis, his son, and the ravers make their way further into the arid wasteland – sharing food, hospitality, freedom, and psychedelic drugs – the bonds of community they form as the world at-large grows more brutal become a crucial component of their survival.
