George, a shepherd on a small farm in rural England, is big a fan of detective novels and murder mysteries…so much so that he reads them out loud to his favorite flock of sheep each evening. Little does George know, however, that his fuzzy ovine friends are imbibing every word of the thrilling tales. It’s a good thing too — a strange occurrence takes place on the farm, and the sheep take it upon themselves to investigate and find the culprit.
With its blend of Sherlock Holmes, Animal Farm, and Knives Out, this smart and entertaining film from director Kyle Balda (The Lorax, Despicable Me, Minions) stars a fantastic cast that includes Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, and Emma Thompson, plus the voicing talents of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, and others.
