Demi Moore stars as “Elizabeth Sparkle”, a well-known TV personality who is unceremoniously fired from her job on her 50th birthday. With her good looks fading and finding herself in a mid-life crisis, Elizabeth encounters an entrepreneur who has a serum which he promises will return Elizabeth to how she looked in her 20’s. There’s a caveat, however: Elizabeth is told that “without exception”, she must change her body every seven days. When she fails to adhere to this important instruction, Elizabeth’s life (and body) begin to fall apart…literally!
This audacious body-horror film with a feminist bent was directed by French filmmaker Coralie Fargeat (Revenge) and stars Margaret Qualley and Dennis Quaid.
