Get set for a biopic that’s a real “thriller”!

From award-winning filmmaker Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, Legacy: The True Story of the L.A. Lakers), and starring cousin Jaafar Jackson, comes this powerful new film about a pop-cultural icon like no other. Michael seeks to tell the story of “King of Pop” Michael Jackson and his legendary life and legacy:  From his humble beginnings as a child-star singing as the frontman of family-band The Jackson 5 to his rise to fame as the biggest entertainer in the world, this film strives to go beyond Michael Jackson’s pop music success to also delve into the struggles that shaped this enigmatic and eccentric superstar throughout his career.

In addition to Jaafar Jackson, the film’s ensemble cast includes Nia Long (Boyz n the Hood, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air), Miles Teller, and Colman Domingo.

As Pagnol begins to revisit the mental landscapes of his adolescence, his Provence, and his first encounters with Love, vibrant memories of his old childhood self begin to emerge, as do the wonderful events that served to enrich his life and inform his artistic vision. Being able to regain this seemingly-lost sense of self, and being able to be the hero of one’s own story, give Pagnol the necessary creative jolt to make his Elle project something worth remembering.
