SPRINGSTEEN: DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE – Last Day: Thursday, November 13th

Watch Trailer

Filmmaker Scott Cooper (Crazy HeartOut of the FurnaceBlack Mass) brings to the big screen a long-awaited biopic of a legend of American music…Bruce Springsteen!

Chronicling the making of the 1982 album Nebraska — a pivotal, stripped-down departure from the high-intensity albums The Boss had previously made up until that point — Deliver Me From Nowhere uses the 2023 book by Warren Zanes as the basis to tell the story of what was happening in Bruce Springsteen’s life as the 1980s dawned, what inspired him to take a musical u-turn, and how the music industry struggled to accept a batch of songs that didn’t align with their vision of a burgeoning rock-n-roll icon.

Starring Jeremy Allen White, the supporting cast includes Jeremy Strong, Stephen Graham, Marc Maron, and Odessa Young.

IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT – Last Day: Tuesday, December 23rd

Watch Trailer Director: Jafar Pahani
Awards: Palm d'Or - Cannes Film Festival; Best Motion Picture (nom), Best Director (nom), Best Screenplay (nom) - Golden Globes

This latest film from award-winning Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi – who has been imprisoned multiple times for his critiques of the Iranian regime – is a modern-day, noir-ish thriller that examines the desire for and consequences of seeking revenge for past transgressions.

When a chance auto accident brings a man and his car to the garage for repairs, Azerbaijani auto mechanic Vahid becomes convinced that the prosthetic-legged driver is the same man who once tortured Vahid while he was locked away in an Iranian prison years ago. Vahid kidnaps the man, knocks him unconscious, and takes him to the desert where he intends to get the man to confess in the presence of others who were tortured. However, no one is quite sure whether the alleged torturer is actually the man they now have in custody. In a case where the roles of victim and perpetrator are reversed, it remains to be seen how far one is willing to go to exact revenge.

SENTIMENTAL VALUE – Last Day: Tuesday, December 23rd

Watch Trailer Cast: Stellan Skarsgard, Renate Reinsve, Inga Lillieaas, Elle Fanning

In the wake of their mother’s death, Nora and Agnes, two sisters who have been estranged from one another for some time, are forced to reconcile with their father, Gustav, whose demanding career as a filmmaker caused him to abandon his family many years ago. The two women have little in common – Nora, like her father, chose a career in show business as an actress; while Agnes instead chose the more stable path of a mother and professional. Gustav, now nearly forgotten as a director, has been developing a new film project – one that deals with unpleasant family memories – that he hopes will reclaim his status in the film industry and he asks daughter Nora to take the starring role. It could be that this project could represent the stones by which Gustav can rebuild the bridge to the only family he has left.
